Engagement–do you have it or are you looking?

Whether you are talking about social media, speaking gigs, or wanting love in your life [in the way of romance or friendships], it all comes down to the issue of connection and that means friendship-468851_640engagement. If you don’t get it, you are sitting there all by yourself.

We long for connection to others, for others to hear us and to want to know more about what it is that we are trying to communicate–intimately or publicly. We get tangled up, irritated, anxious and depressed over this topic. Many people strive to understand and perfect the tactics that will produce the results they, meaning we all, long for.

What does it take?

Across all platforms, it means being vulnerable–getting to a place where others see your human characteristics and have the experience of feeling connected to you and seeing what you have as being of value to them.

How does that happen?

We each need to get to a place of clarity inside of our own self first. From there, what we want and what we need becomes evident. It is vital for us to know who we are and to be simply genuine, natural and authentic. We need to be unafraid of how we think and feel–to trust we are healthy and vibrant and good. And we arrive at that point, there is no problem in sharing our thoughts and our feelings.

It begins as we come to do the work and sustain it over the course of our life, which builds our inner strength. I’m hooked on it.images
