It’s raining here in the Midwestern portion of the United States. The season is autumn. We all get rain. rainy day

The question is — does it have a negative impact upon your mood? If yes, why is that?

This life experience is filled with a variety, a wide and rich variety of visceral, sensual stimulus for you to allow to touch you and for you to then create your thoughts and feelings about. The choices are yours. You need to believe that you have the Brain Power to be able to do whatever you want with your mind, because you can!

In my book, Build the Strength Within, I ask you to explore the way in which you have a belief that you control what happens in your mind.

You need to know rainy day through window that it does not matter the weather is, you are able to see it as an opportunity to enjoy it, every part of it. Today as it rains, I am enjoying wearing chocolate brown corduroy pants and a snuggly knitted deep pink cotton sweater. I feel warm and yet calmly colorful. I am sipping hot tea and have lit some citrus scented candles and am writing and thinking how the rain is cleansing the gardens and the streets outside. I am indoors where it is dry and safe. Lovely.

The way that we use our mind is something we take for granted. We are so routinely doing what we do that we don’t even realize the power and magnitude of it. When people become impaired however, from a stroke or some form of dementia, they note how compartments of the brain contribute to what they are able to do—or not. In our healthy years, there are things we can observe, learn about, and utilize to strengthen the power of our mind but first, we must get acquainted.

Ask yourself:

What is it about the mind that is so fascinating?

Why do we get afraid of our own thoughts…..and the thoughts of others?

Do you understand your mind as deeply as you think you could?

change the brain

I invite you to participate in The Brain Power Self Assessment.

The opening question for you here is:  how would an understanding of the way that your brain, and the brain of others, operates help you to be more effective? Think carefully, reply to the questions.
