Yes. Flights get me where it is that I need to be–sometimes at a moment’s notice given who my clients are and the various types of work that I do. And yes, there have been times in my life when I felt a certain sort of dread in anticipation of flying–but I had a very different sense of purpose at that point in time. My thought now is–breathe, go with it, relax, and you will see all sorts of things that are amazing. I am very happy to take a selfie and see how relaxed I am in the midst of the hustle bustle.
True.
Even in the midst of a sea of people, many people…..I saw a friendly atmosphere, people talking, taking care of one another, and enjoying the time to simply be free and open to a travel journey.
Sitting next to me was a mom and her teenage daughter. Pleasant, Canadian accents……fun to listen to. And suddenly, I noted a shift in something and out from a discreet looking travel bags pops this baby dog! Oh my.
So very tiny, and brown, fluffy, and soft…it’s little pink tongue hanging out as it snoozed. I get to pet her a bit and I find myself smiling and recalling each pet I have ever had. I chatted with this mother daughter pair for a while, talking about where they are from and what they enjoy doing. This teen age girl and her mom–what a pleasant pair. How terrific to meet people who find a core of their inner strength by connecting to animals. They have farmland and have a variety of animals. I loved sitting there and listening to the scene they painted about their farm and their life. It sounded healthy and peaceful.
I gave them my business card, sent them to my web site. Maybe they will visit and maybe not. The point for me was about being in the moment and loving it–not being on my phone chatting with someone far away, not texting endlessly but being present and open to the life happening in my immediate presence. Embraceable.
The plane arrived, we boarded, and took off. I sat back in my seat and absolutely loved the heavenly views…..
