Next weekend is the last weekend before we meet the spring season on our calendars. Tomorrow is a big day if you live in a region where the clocks “spring forward” to give us Daylight Savings Time.
We all seem happy to celebrate the additional hour of illumination. The anticipation grows.
As we get ready to spend our last 2 weeks in winter, it is time to step outside and make note of what is slowly changing.
1. There are birds returning to your region — the don’t have a calendar, they simply fly back.
2. This weekend and next, I will be getting restless to go outdoors and begin preparing my garden for the warmer days to come. I’m already seeing signs of life popping up from the ground. Inspiring.
3. Time to wrap up winter projects inside so that time can be enjoyed outdoors–photo albums being put together, address books being given final updates, boots and sweaters being cleaned.
4. And for the late afternoon and early evening, a time to rest and sip a cup of tea by the fireside, a few candles lit, and a good book about gardening to set the tone of getting ready for a season transition–all healthy for the spirit.
Tomorrow, I will use the extra hour of daylight to look at my life Blueprint and see what it is that looks to me, at opening glance to be in balance and what seems neglected or overdone. Take a look and see what it is that pops out at you–what do you need to spend a bit of time on in your life? This handy tool can help you focus. Print one out and use it to make observations and then notes to yourself about what you would like to do to create a stronger sense of happiness for yourself.
