I love music. I dream about it, I listen to it, I sing, I admire those talented enough to make it their life’s work. Music elicits feelings like nothing else.
My tuner and my stereo system are old. I bought new equipment and tried to marry the systems. It didn’t go so well.
My desire to have music fill my home was strong over the December holidays because of sentiment. I began telling all of my visitors about my desire to have music fill my house. One friend took over and made it all happen. It took all of about 7 minutes to hook wires into the right places and all of a sudden my dream came true. It’s been lovely.
However, when you have a dream and then fulfill it, it is time to move onto the next one. I then remembered how much I love live music and even though my stereo is magnificent, there is nothing like the experience of being in the same room with talented musicians as they share their craft. I knew that this would become a year of live music that would take on new meaning.
It has.
It is only February but I am enjoying live music in the way of symphony performances, trios, quintets, and Chamber Music groups that roller coaster my emotions from laughter and giggles to tears that run down my face because I am so very moved within my heart by the beauty of the sounds and the stories.
It is a marvelous reality that we can indeed create the life we want…just dream it, envision it, make it real in your mind and search for it with your heart…..and it will happen. It is a truth about this life that we grow what we sow – create exquisite dreams for your own self and allow them to be cultivated, to grow, to be reaped by you. It is a splendid thing to experience dreams coming true and getting what you want in your life.
