About

A Story of Professional Development & Absolute Passion with Purpose

Over the course of my 40+ year career, I have been dedicated to improving the well-being of individuals and communities, through both business consulting and wholistic© health practices. My mission remains the same to lead with kindness, heal those in need, and empower others to do the same.

Professional Development

I want very much to be a significant leader and partner in the much-needed movement to bring healing to our world, but most importantly, to America. I know how important it is to have the right tools, and I am constantly acquiring more and envisioning the creation of new ones as they emerge in my imagination. My career work has been varied, and some would say substantial. As a lifelong entrepreneur, I’ve made and spent millions, with brands valued at ~$2 million. My mission and vision are driven by a passion for healing, especially in a country that faces peril. Described as a well-credentialed professional, my training began early, at age 11, learning mind-body medicine intuitively and then formally from my parents.

Community Impact & Consulting

Throughout my career, I have taken on numerous consulting roles, helping businesses, government agencies , and schools solve organizational issues. I’ve worked with all levels of government, from local to federal, and corporate clients across various sectors including education, healthcare, and finance.

I have also been involved in Workers Compensation cases, unraveling difficult situations, and my expertise has led to a reputation for delivering guaranteed results. I’ve been able to use my training in organizational psychology to shift the culture within many businesses and communities.

Wholistic© Health & Well-Being

My training in health began early, with a focus on Massage and Reflexology. By 19, I became an Integrative Nutritionist studying under Dr. Rudolph Ballentine, and by 22, I was a Certified Acupuncture Practitioner studying Chinese Medicine and Herbology. My academic career included a triple major in biology, chemistry, and psychology.

I continued into Organic Farming and Organic Gardening, teaching farmers about healthy living. This expanded into Folklore Healing, where I developed a following in St. Louis and Chicago. As I worked in Biofeedback, I specialized in cardiovascular disease and hypertension, using techniques like meditation and focus learned from Dr. Herbert Benson at Harvard University.

Social Advocacy & Healing America

I have always been deeply invested in healing America, particularly in addressing societal issues like bullying and the mental health crisis. After the Columbine disaster, I wrote the Safe Schools Partnership to combat bullying. My program was gifted to the St. Louis County Police and has been used in schools across the region.

In addition to my work in the field of mental health and social well-being, I am concerned about the safety of our streets and law enforcement. My involvement with the Chicago Police Department has led to initiatives aimed at helping officers manage stress and improve their well-being.

Thought Leadership

I have been recognized as a thought leader with a national presence. As publisher of The National Focus Magazine, our readership grew from 30 to over 100 universities. I became an educator, teaching at Washington University in both psychology and business departments, while also advising graduate students.

I expanded my thought leadership into the public sphere by founding The K Factor on BlogTalkRadio, a channel focused on Kindness. I am currently building the channel to support a full team of thought leaders, working with 30 co-hosts.

Entrepreneurship

I founded multiple businesses throughout my career. One of my earliest ventures was Meadow Lane Nursery, which produced organics and achieved $100K+ in its first year. Over the years, I have been a founder of, core partner to, or spokesperson for various organizations including e4e, Test My Teen, Something Wonderful, Comfortable Environments, All Green Thumbs, Carlin Cookery & Catering, and Blazer.

In the 1980s, I was offered a six-figure agreement to build The Whole Health Institute within a hospital system, but I opted to continue focusing on authentic healing, outside of autocratic methodologies. Instead, I founded Partners In Excellence LLC, combining my business acumen with well-being models for the past 20+ years.

Vision Now & for the Future

One of my key future projects is the development of a Retreat Facility for Authentic Wholistic Well-Being© in the Missouri Vineyards. The facility will provide a place for 1:1 work, family retreats, and large-scale events aimed at healing and personal growth. Additionally, I am building a team of influencing thought leaders to contribute to my media platform, expanding The K Factor brand into a full-scale live broadcast network.
