You already how to complete the opening of that sentence–you have allowed self doubt to take you on wild voyages that made you feel sea sick even though you were nowhere near water. You’ve given yourself headaches and angst and all with the power of your mind.
Imagine……imagine where you could go to, how high you could soar, if only you would allow yourself the time and resources to authentically train your brain.
Every person you admire for their diligence, successful outcomes, and amazing productivity has done just this–gotten hold of their mind and channeled the thoughts to their advantage. This is basic psychology and what star athletes must do in order to win. In some ways, being an athlete makes it easier because the game is obvious, has scheduled practices and play times, and rules. The game of life is different–it goes on and on with every breath. And this is why you must be prepared.
We don’t always feel up to it. That’s okay, take a rest…but when you are laying there, be envisioning your best game, your most athletic self, the winner that is you!
