I met Alan Fox, author of People Tools and also People Tools for Business, this past spring at a book expo in NYC. I was taken in by his gentle storytelling style and his wisdom. Modest and obviously passionate about life and his wife and his work, he was just a pleasure to be in the company of. He gifted me a copy of his first book and I couldn’t put it down–I read it from cover to cover in one lovely evening.
The points he makes are simple and straightforward. He shares his own life experiences in the 7 decades he has been practicing the art of becoming a great human being! I think he has arrived but he won’t admit that, instead his humility will shine through. He is an example of what happens to a person and their life when the focus is on building your inner strength and striving to be the best version of yourself. It may take seemingly forever but the journey is here for us to experience.
The more I embrace my own work, the more I find myself attracting people who have genuinely built their life around common themes found in Build the Strength Within. I find this inspiring. You can find Alan’s books on Amazon.com and read more about why I enjoy his work by taking a sneak peek into Build the Strength Within. Friends, we have today–thus far–but there is no guarantee we will even get the evening. Make the best of your day, your mind, your heart…your next breath.
